We have forgiven the bombers says Parish Priest

The Parish Priest of St Theresa Catholic Church, Madalla, Niger State, Rev. Fr. Isaac Achi, has extended an olive branch to those that bombed his church on Christmas Day.

Achi told newsmen shortly when President Goodluck Jonathan’s visit to the blast scene in Madalla, Suleja native Government space, near Abuja, that the parishioners had forgiven the bombers.

“We the Christian community of this church have forgiven those that hurt us, those that killed us, those that murdered us.

“We don't seem to be getting to take revenge however God can take revenge for us.

“Therefore, I decision on all Christians everywhere the country to forgive them.”

Achi noted that the attack during which over thirty five folks lost their lives and scores were injured had led to a discount within the variety of parishioners turning up for mass within the church.

“”Since the incident, there has been a discount within the turnout of parishioners for programmes.

“But this might not be as a results of the bomb blast alone, it should be as a results of festivities; therefore some folks have traveled and so on.

“But since yesterday (Friday), I will see a larger variety bobbing up for mass not minding those of them who have traveled, not minding those that are within the hospitals.

“This is as a result of for every of the victims within the hospital, there could also be one or 2 relations staying with him within the hospital. (NAN)
