Victor Moses Dumps England For Nigeria Super Eagle

Victor Moses Dumps England For Nigeria Super Eagle: Nigerian forward Victor Moses has sensationally declared that he has no regrets whatsoever, over ditching the three Lions of England, and choosing to play for the Super Eagles of Nigeria.
Moses was eligible to play for England, having represented them in the youth level, but declined the opportunity and got clearance from FIFA,before making his debut for Nigeria in February 2012 against Rwanda.

The winger revealed to Goal.com that he has always wanted to play for Nigeria, and that he enjoys every moment he spends with the Super Eagles.

“Yes the opportunity beckoned me to play for England, but I chose Nigeria because it has always been my ambition to play for the Super Eagles,” Moses said.

”I don’t regret turning out in the colors of Super Eagles. I love Nigeria and I was prepared to come and play for the nation,” he added.

Moses further called on England to stop the blame game, over missing out on his services, stating that his mind was fixated on playing for Nigeria.

“I have enjoyed every minute of my stay with the team. Coaches in England should not blame themselves that they could not convince me to wear the jersey of the [Three Lions] after playing for the junior side,” Moses said.

“I waited for the opportunity to be invited to play for the national team of Nigeria and immediately they found me worthy, I did not waste time to honor the call,” he said. Nigeria has always been my choice if called up and when they did I was happy,”

The Chelsea attacker, played a pivotal role in helping Nigeria secure qualification for the 2013 Nations Cup in South Africa, scoring two goals in the 6-1 drubbing of Liberia in Calabar .

These comments by Moses, smacks of someone who holds Nigeria to heart, and is prepared to wear the Green White Green jersey. We can only wish the Super Eagles well in South Africa and hope they do the country proud.
