Let me give u just once example…the French people have culture and one of it is that a man would sit and watch TV while the woman do the cooking that doesn’t mean all men will do that but that’s just one of their culture, their women are far different from the British women. I think the British women are the worst women u can ever live with. Don’t get me wrong as there are good ones out there too but pretty hard to find…other European countries most of them have culture like the Portuguese, Greece, Spanish and others, check their women or any woman from any European country; You will see that they are far different from the British woman…
I’m talking out of experience as I have lived with one for 3yrs and I find it hard to cope. I have done 10 or even 100 times better things that I wouldn’t have done even half for a Naija girl to her. I bought her a car (2005 Honda jazz) on her birthday; take her on holiday do a lot of things that I haven’t done for a Naija girl before but guess what, she never shows any appreciation. So to me, they are ungrateful. And most of my friend who are with one, either white or mix, complain about the same thing. I don’t really blame any of them I just think their problem is they make their kids grow too quick without proper home training. Anyway, I might move back to Naija before ending of the year…Not sure but I’m definitely thinking about it.”
So this email is full of realities that we Nigerians or foreigners have to deal with, some a little racist but that is his opinion on foreign culture and granted we all have them. And yes, this man is clearly a “citizenship-digger”. But I had to stop at one point. When he said he has done 100 times more stuff for his non-Nigerian wife than he would have for any Naija girl it made me wonder…. Are Nigerian women being cheated?
I’m noticing this trend among Nigerian men, they may do a little bit for their fellow country woman but let them get with an exotic /mixed/foreign babe of non-black origin and it is as though they can’t spoil them enough. And they will be running to the altar to marry them. However, Ada and Bisi will have to roast for 7+ years before Ade or Emeka will agree to call them their wife. Clearly, the cultural differences make an interracial relationship difficult as this man has realized. However, in my opinion, he is the fool. You make your bed, you must lie in it…. Abi? And he did it all for the wrong reasons.
